Cacao, Pear and Ginger Porridge

  • 50 g porridge oats
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp cacao
  • 300 ml boiling water
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • Pinch of ground ginger
  • 75 ml plant milk
  • 1 pear sliced
  • 1 tbsp chopped hazelnuts
  • Maple syrup optional


  • Add the porridge oats, flaxseed and cacao to a pot and cover with the boiling water. Stir over a low heat until thick and creamy. This should take about 5 minutes.
  • Add the ginger, maple syrup and plant milk. Stir to mix everything together.
  • Spoon your porridge into a bowl, top with the pear, hazelnuts and a drizzle of maple syrup if using and enjoy!
